Having specific goals is the key to success!! What also helps is breaking down goals. My main goal is to lose weight and be healthy. That is a pretty vague goal but if I break it down smaller and get specific, it will help me reach my main goal.

I was having a bit of trouble trying to think of a theme for this week and finally this morning I thought of one that perfectly sums up this week. Focusing on the Present really summarizes my week because I caught myself getting overwhelmed about the future a lot this week!

Getting my servings of veggies and fruits can sometimes be a bit a challenge for me, especially veggies. However, one of my favorite ways to get my fruit and veggies in is with a green smoothie!! Since graduating I’ve been feeling like something is missing. Maybe it’s the structure of having to always be studying or working on a paper or project. It kept me busy and helped me enjoy my down time a lot. Now I don’t have that and basically go to work and then get home and chill. Thursday morning I was going through my old pictures and when I got to the pictures I took during the Fall of 2015, I grew nostalgic. I saw all the pretty pics I had taken for posts and missed keeping up Makeup & Flowers.

This morning is a rainy Sunday morning and, for me, that is a super awesome way to start out Sunday. I love raining days, especially when I don’t have to do anything all day. Do any of you remember that story with the tortoise and the fox? They race and the fox is sure he is going to win so he takes a rest and doesn’t take the race seriously. On the other hand, the tortoise takes the race seriously and even though he is slower than the fox he ultimately wins the race. Weightloss is similar to this story, you want to be the tortoise and not the fox.
