This morning is a rainy Sunday morning and, for me, that is a super awesome way to start out Sunday. I love raining days, especially when I don’t have to do anything all day. This week was my first week that I am no longer a student, I work on campus so going to school after graduation was super weird!!

Long time, no blogging!!!
It has been a long time since I have posted anything on Makeup & Flowers!! There are a couple of reasons why I have decided to come back but one major reason is that I’m about to graduate with my Bachelors Degree and as that time gets closer, I feel the pressure of finding a job and in the process I can start to feeling lonely, if that makes sense. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that doesn’t have a job lined up after graduation but at times it feels like that. Blogging helps me feel a sense of belonging and also a sense of purpose since I’m doing something creative that I really like.

School is right around the corner! For some, it has already started, and for others, like me, it’s starting this week. I start class on Thursday, which is weird but also nice that the first week is just two days. This is my last year of college and I am super excited to finally graduate!! I’ve been in school for many years so I thought I would share some of my back to school tips with you!

Nothing makes me feel closer to the bloggers or YouTubers I follow than when they share a little bit of their personal lives. While I understand that everyone needs their privacy, there are some stuff that when these people I follow share, I feel more connected to them which, in turn, makes me like them a bit better.
I have decided to change from My Weekly Instagram Inspirations to Sit Back Sunday. In this weekly Sunday series, I want to not only share with you my favorite pictures from Instagram, but also share a little bit about my week with you all. I feel that this way, you all can get to know a bit more about me and we can connect on another level. I hope you enjoy this series!
This week I started the Spring semester, I am taking two classes and a lab on campus and 3 classes and a lab online. This is the most classes I have ever taken in a semester and so I have been a bit stressed out because I want to make sure that I don’t miss any due dates, especially in my online courses. Even though I know this semester is going to be a bit stressful, I am glad to be taking classes again because I tend to get lazy when I have nothing to do.
My Spring semester starts next week and I both dreading it and excited for it. I decided to take a few days off from blogging because it is my last week on winter break but I am back now! So if you are like me just reading the syllabus can be stressful, especially if it’s a professor that you’ve never had before. I literally have to tell myself that I will be able to handle the course work to de-stress myself. Because of this I have decided to share with y’all five things I will be doing differently this semester so I can get the best grades I can achieve. Enjoy!
1. Review the material before class. If possible read the whole chapter. My Anatomy & Physiology professor would always tell the class to do this but, being a bad student, I did’t bother with reading ahead of class. This past semester, though, I had to read the chapter before class because my professor had the class take quizzes before the class. Reading the chapter before class made a huge difference. I was already familiar with the topic once I got to lecture so it was my second time hearing about the topic so it helped me memorize better and I got a A in that class.
It is currently dead week for me meaning that finals are next week. It also means that a lot of students are panicking or will start to panic soon.
For me finals are something I just want to get over with. There have been a hand full of finals that I have truly been nervous for, Anatomy & Physiology for example.
There is no doubt this is a stressful time, especially if this final could make you pass or fail the class, again Anatomy & Physiology for me. Because of this I have decided to share some of my tips to get through finals week! I hope this helps out all the student. Enjoy!
Avoid Cramming: Most people like to study the night before the test but then feel fried once it’s time to take the test. Instead plan out a few weeks depending on how hard the subject is for you. This way you are better prepared and will feel better about the test.
