This Tuesday was my birthday, I turned 23!! I still cannot believe I am 23 years old and I know that in the big picture of life that is not old but I still feel old and it’s weird to say that I am 23. My birthday was very chill, most of them are and I really like that. I had lunch with mom and sister, then dinner with my boyfriend, and lastly I invited some of my cousins over when I cut my cake.
Even though I didn’t do much for my birthday, I still enjoyed the day with my family!! The day after my birthday my coworkers also had a nice surprise for me and decorated my desk super cute!! Anyway, I wanted to share the makeup look that I wore for my birthday so keep reading to see what I came up with. Enjoy!! Continue reading
August is here which means to things: 1) my birthday month is here and 2) it’s time for my July favorites!! This July has been super eventful and so much fun. I went to Mexico to visit my family and I had such a great time. I went by airplane for the very first time and it was pretty cool!!
The other exciting thing about July was that I decided to take an online blogging course to better my blogging. I am still taking the course but I have learned so much already. I have decided to change a few things up a bit on Makeup & Flowers. I have decided to solely talk about makeup because it is what I am most passionate about and it also seems to be my most popular topic. I will probably talk about skincare and other beauty but it will mostly be makeup.
I am super excited to change things up a bit and hope you like it!! Anyway, let’s get into my favorites for the month of July. Enjoy!! Continue reading

For the most part the makeup that I have used is great and I love it but every once in a while I have a product that does not meet my expectations! Today I wanted to share with you a few products that I still had in my makeup drawer that I never reach for because I simply did not like them.
I purchased two of the products that I talk about on this post, one came in my Birchbox, and the other was giving to me free from Influenster a while back. Keep reading to see the four products that I did not fall for! Enjoy! Continue reading

I’ll be completely honest, it took me a long time to get into the liquid lipstick scene!! I know, I know, it’s crazy, but the reason for that is because I didn’t really know which brand to try and I was a bit intimidate by the whole thing. While I did try a liquid lipstick a few years ago, it wasn’t too popular and I didn’t wear it much since the shade was dark and at that time I was still getting used to deeper shades. Anyway, I finally tried a liquid lipstick in August or September since it came my Birchbox.
I really loved the lipstick I had received, which was the Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina by Stila. I decided to do a little bit of browsing to see which color I would get next. Two shades caught my attention: Ricco and Bacca. I wanted to see how they each compared to each other so I googled swatches. In my search, I stumbled upon a post which said that while they loved the shade for Bacca, they didn’t really like the application.
Because of that, I decided I would buy Ricco, but when I saw Bacca in person, I just had to have it. I took a chance and decided to buy the lipstick even if I had heard negative comments on it. I’ve had this lipstick now for about 2-3 months. Keep reading to find out if it indeed sucked or if it exceeded my expectations!! Enjoy! Continue reading
Eyebrows are one of the most important things when it come to doing my makeup so when I ran out of my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, I obviously had to restock. Because I was still not financially stable at this time, I looked around for a good dupe. NYX is one of my go-to drugstore brands so I was excited to see that they had an eyebrow pencil similar to the Brow Wiz. I was not sure how I felt about the pencil at first but a gave it a couple a chances before I decided how to feel about it. Keep reading to see if this pencil is a hit or miss! Enjoy!
I got this brow pencil in the color Espresso. Continue reading
For the most part, I love going all out with my makeup, but there are times when I either don’t have enough time or I simply want to wear a more natural look. Today I am going to share my no-makeup makeup look. This look is something that I have recently come up with and I really love that it makes me look great and it’s a really effortless look!!
We all have email subscriptions to our favorite stores and every now and then there are amazing deals that you just can’t pass on!! That is exactly how I got my hands on the Classic Courage Palette by Tarte. One morning I was checking my emails and when I saw that as a Platinum Member I could get this palette for $19 I just had to get it!!
This was my first Tarte purchase, I had always wanted to try it but I never really got around to it. I was super excited when it arrived at my house, I immediately swatched all the colors. I’ve had this palette now for about a month so keep reading to see my thoughts on this Tarte palette. Enjoy!! Continue reading
Tone correcting is something has become more popular, so it is no surprise that there are more tone correctors out in the market. I am a newbie to the tone correcting world but I really wanted to try it out and see if it actually works. Because I wanted to experiment with it, I decided to buy the $3 Tone Correcting Powder by e.l.f. Cosmetics.
If you read my May Favorites, then you will know that this is actually my second time buying this powder but this time I have a completely different opinion about this powder. Continue reading
