For the most part the makeup that I have used is great and I love it but every once in a while I have a product that does not meet my expectations! Today I wanted to share with you a few products that I still had in my makeup drawer that I never reach for because I simply did not like them.
I purchased two of the products that I talk about on this post, one came in my Birchbox, and the other was giving to me free from Influenster a while back. Keep reading to see the four products that I did not fall for! Enjoy!
NYX HD Studio Photogenic Finishing Powder: I’ve seen a lot of people use white finishing powders to set their makeup so I thought this powder was going to be a life saver! While it did set my makeup nicely, I just didn’t like the feel it gave to my face. I decided to go back to the NYX banana powder that I was using so I do recommend that one.
They’re Real Push-Up Liner by Benefit: I really did want to love this product because it seemed super cool and easy to use. I bought it soon after it launched and gave it so many tries because I wanted to get the hang of it. After a while I did get the hang of applying it but when I twisted the product out too much would come out and I would end up wasting a lot of it. I also noticed that I would get a tiny black dots from the liner falling out. I gave this product so many tries but ultimately it just wasn’t for me.
Milk Makeup Ubame Mascara: I received this mascara in one of my Birchboxes and I was excited at the time because I was low on mascara and really needed one. I noticed that by the end of the day I didn’t have the mascara on anymore which never happens to me. I liked that the product was light but not that it was off before I had the chance to take it off myself.
Max Factor X Masterpiece High Precision Eyeliner: I received this eyeliner free from Influenster a couple of month ago and I can’t remember if I reviewed it on here or not. Basically I think the color of the liner is rich and a great black but what I don’t like is the shape of the liner pen. It’s flat and makes creating a fine line difficult. I’m sure with more practice I can get it down but I definitely would not buy it because there are plenty of rich-colored liners without the gimmick-y tip.
Those are the four products that are fails in my eyes. While I didn’t like the product in particular, the brands are still good and have used other products by the brands that I really do like.
Do you agree or do you love one of these products? Let me know in the comments below!
