Green Smoothie + Progress

Getting my servings of veggies and fruits can sometimes be a bit a challenge for me, especially veggies.  However, one of my favorite ways to get my fruit and veggies in is with a green smoothie!!  I love having this smoothie for breakfast but it great for any time of day.  It’s also super refreshing, perfect for the summer!!

Today I will be sharing my green smoothie recipe as well as my progress so far in my weightloss journey so keep reading!! 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen fruit (any frozen fruit mix, I get Great Value)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • water

I use my NutriBullet to blend everything together, but you could use whatever brand blender, just make sure to put it on the smoothie setting, if you have one, so the spinach blends well.  Chunky spinach can accidentally stay on your teeth and no one wants that!!

While the order of putting the ingredients on the blender doesn’t matter at all, I like to put the spinach first, the frozen fruit second, then the apple juice.  Lastly, I fill the rest of the cup with water.  The smoothie in my picture turned out to be more of a dark green because of the type of frozen fruit mix I used but it was just as delicious as with the other frozen fruit mix!

I hope you enjoy this fruit smoothie, it’s simple, super tasty, and a great treat for a hot summer day!!  Now let’s talk about my progress.  To be honest, I haven’t been doing as great as I would like to but I have been learning lots!!

The number one thing that I need to work on is being consistent!!  I am aware of the healthy foods I should be eating.  I also have workouts that I really enjoy but I will plan my meals for a day, schedule my workout in my calendar and I’ll keep it up for about a day or two then slack.  I plan on giving you an update every two weeks so I will work hard on consistency and let you know how everything went.  My goal is to workout at least 4 times a week as well as making sure I do not go over my calories for the day.

I’m super excited to share my progress with you and hope that by doing so, my consistency strengthens and I start seeing results!!
