May 2016 Favorites

May has come and gone super fast!!  May has been a weird month for me because I am still getting adjusted to my new job.  However, after having a month off from working, I’m glad to get back into a working routine.  I have a couple of favorites this month that I cannot wait to share with you, so lets get right into it!!

May 2016 Favorites

NYX Butter Gloss in Crème Brûlée:  I was watching a YouTube makeup tutorial and the girl had mentioned that she absolutely loved the Crème Brûlée Butter Gloss by NYX as an everyday gloss so I decided to look into it.  I love this gloss because it is a pinky nude that adds very slight color to the lips.  It is not sticky whatsoever and it feels very smooth on my lips.  I love this lip gloss so much, I’ve been wearing this lip gloss everyday!

e.l.f. Tone Correcting Powder in Light:  Tone correcting is something that I have been wanting to get into but I’m still somewhat broke so I decided to buy this $3 tone corrector.  I have actually bought this palette before but I didn’t know how to use it properly so I didn’t like and I ended up throwing it away.  This time around, I watched a YouTube tutorial so I could apply it properly.  I have been using this as a finishing powder, by mixing all four colors, and it makes my makeup look amazing!!

Pearl’s Peril:  After seeing a bunch of Facebook ads about this game, my curiosity got to me and I decided to get the app.  I have been playing this game everyday, it’s super entertaining!! It’s a mystery game and in each scene you have to find the hidden objects, which is one of my favorite types of games!!

Laura Geller Baked Color & Contour:  I bought this palette and while back and I used to use it a lot but then I decided to change my bronzer, blush, and highlighter.  I decided to use this again because it has the perfect shimmer for the spring/summer time and I’ve been loving it!!

Wake Up To Hope Devotional:  This devotional is by Joel and Victoria Osteen, my mom loves books by him because they are super positive.  My mom bought this book for me and I’ve been reading a page almost all morning and they give me a positive look on life every morning.  I think it’s important to start out the day in a positive note, even when having a bad day.  This book is Christian so I definitely recommend this book for those that practice Christianity!!
