Sit Back Sunday #2

Happy Sunday!

This week was just one of those weeks where nothing exciting really happens.  I don’t mean that it was a bad week but it was just a regular week.  I actually took one day off of work and I basically studied the whole day until I had to go to class.  I also realized that my Statistics class isn’t going to be as bad as I imagine it will be so that is a positive.

Sit Back Sunday

On Friday my boyfriend, sister and I went to go watch the movie “The Boy.”  I really wanted to watch this movie because I love horror movies.  This movie did have a twist and even my sister said she really didn’t like the movie after the twist, I actually liked it even more.  The movie isn’t the best but it is a good movie to watch if you want to go to the movies and not really sure what to watch.  The next morning my boyfriend and I went to the mall to look around and we also ate there.  We went to Kohl’s after that because he needed a wallet and I saw so many cute clothes, which kind of got me excited for spring.

January 2016 Favorites

You may have noticed that the name for my favorites has changed.  I used to do my  favorite eight items of the month but I have decided to simply do favorites as there are some months were I have more than eight favorite items and other months, like this one, where I have fewer.

January has flown by pretty fast.  At first it felt like this month was going slow and then all of a sudden we are at the last week of January.  Overall I can say that January has been a bit challenging but nevertheless enjoyable.  Keep reading to see my favorite things of January. Enjoy!

Living Proof Prime Style Extender Spray: This spray is supposed to help keep your hairstyle looking nice for longer.  This is actually a very interesting product.  My hair tends to get frizzy as the day goes on and it would be good to see how this product effects my hair.

Number4 Super Comb Prep & Protect

I received the Number4 Super Comb Prep & Protect in the January Birchbox and while it wasn’t the most exciting product in the box, I was curious to try the product out.

I used to twice and while that is very few times to use it say that I have a good review, I already have strong opinions over this product.  Keep reading to find out if this spray was a hit or a miss. Enjoy!

Number4 Super Comb Prep & Protect

The main thing that caught my attention with this spray is that it is a detangler, the second thing was that it says that it protects color.  I absolutly hate combing my hair after I shower so I was sure that if it helped me detangle my hair then I would love this product.  On top of that the color protection was a big plus!

Happy Sunday!

Nothing makes me feel closer to the bloggers or YouTubers I follow than when they share a little bit of their personal lives.  While I understand that everyone needs their privacy, there are some stuff that when these people I follow share, I feel more connected to them which, in turn, makes me like them a bit better.

I have decided to change from My Weekly Instagram Inspirations to Sit Back Sunday.  In this weekly Sunday series,  I want to not only share with you my favorite pictures from Instagram, but also share a little bit about my week with you all.  I feel that this way, you all can get to know a bit more about me and we can connect on another level. I hope you enjoy this series!

Sit Back Sunday

This week I started the Spring semester, I am taking two classes and a lab on campus and 3 classes and a lab online.  This is the most classes I have ever taken in a semester and so I have been a bit stressed out because I want to make sure that I don’t miss any due dates, especially in my online courses.  Even though I know this semester is going to be a bit stressful, I am glad to be taking classes again because I tend to get lazy when I have nothing to do.

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion

Ever since trying out my first dr. brandt product, I get super excited to try other products by this brand.  When I saw that I had received yet another dr. brandt sample in my December Birchbox, I was super excited to try out.  Now that I have tried out the dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion exfoliator for a few weeks I have some thoughts on this product.  Keep reading to see if this product was as amazing as I expected it to be. Enjoy!

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion

Like I said, I was super excited to try out this product so that night that I received it I used it.  I first time I used this exfoliator I used it with my cleansing brush.  Because this exfoliator is almost a paste it didn’t work well with my cleansing brush because it sank to the bottom and if I would have added pressure to my face, it would have hurt.

January Playlist

It’s that time again for a new playlist! This month I have been listening to a lot of pop music.  I really love it when I find good pop music because it is great when I want something to jam out to and feel free.  Enjoy!

Weekly Instagram Inspiration #10

Happy Sunday!

This week was my last week on winter break and it is definitely bitter sweet thinking about going back to school.  On one hand I feel like the lazy rut that I am kind of in will disappear once I have more to do so it will probably help me be more productive.  On the other hand, homework!! I am sure it will be a great semester even with the homework! If you want to know how to have a great semester you can check out my 5 step guide here.

So other than thinking a lot about school this week has been a pretty mellow week, nothing too exciting but it also wasn’t boring.  Last week I included more pictures on my Weekly Instagram Inspiration and I liked that liberty so I will be posting more pictures this  time around. Enjoy!

Birchbox Unboxing: January 2016

I always get so excited when my Birchbox comes in the mail and I was extra excited for this box because I saw someone else’s box on Instagram and I really liked the idea for the box this month.  Along with the samples, a sheet of stickers came with the box that you could place on the lid of the box.  The lid says “2016: The Year of” you can use the sticker to fill in the blank.  My favorite was “Strength” so that is the one I used for the top of my box.  I really loved that part of the of box.  Keep reading to see my thoughts on the products that came in this month. Enjoy!

Fives Ways to Great Semester

My Spring semester starts next week and I both dreading it and excited for it.  I decided to take a few days off from blogging because it is my last week on winter break but I am back now!  So if you are like me just reading the syllabus can be stressful, especially if it’s a professor that you’ve never had before.  I literally have to tell myself that I will be able to handle the course work to de-stress myself.  Because of this I have decided to share with y’all five things I will be doing differently this semester so I can get the best grades I can achieve. Enjoy!

Five Ways to a Great Semester

1. Review the material before class.  If possible read the whole chapter.  My Anatomy & Physiology professor would always tell the class to do this but, being a bad student, I did’t bother with reading ahead of class.  This past semester, though, I had to read the chapter before class because my professor had the class take quizzes before the class.  Reading the chapter before class made a huge difference.  I was already familiar with the topic once I got to lecture so it was my second time hearing about the topic so it helped me memorize better and I got a A in that class.
