Purple Bold Eyes Makeup Look

Hello!!

Eyeshadow is my favorite kind of makeup so I wanted to create a bold eyeshadow look.  When I went to do this look I honestly had no idea what I was going to do other than a bold look.  I first reached for my Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette and my eyes were drawn to the purple eyeshadow so I created a look with my Smoky Palette and also with my Naked 3 Palette.

Here is the makeup look that I created.  I would like to add that I used the front camera of my phone so the pictures aren’t of great quality.

Since this is a bold eye look, I decided to do my eyeshadow before applying my foundation.  I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance all over my eyelids to get them ready for the eyeshadow.  From my Naked Smoky Palette I applied Radar, a shimmery light brown, on my crease.  I also applied Whiskey, a dark brown matte, on my outer crease and onto the outer part of my eyelid.  From my Naked 3 Palette I applied Liar, a purple/pink shimmery color, on my eyelid blending it with the dark brown eyeshadow.  I then applied Smolder, a dark purple satin color, from my Smoky Palette over where I put the Whiskey eyeshadow.  This made the purple eyeshadow a bit darker and it and not too purple-y.  Back to my Naked 3 Palette, I put Factory, a shade darker than Liar, where Liar and the dark purple eyeshadow mix. ( This actually didn’t do much but I was just experimenting).  I also applied Trick, a shimmery copper color, in the middle of my eyelid to brighten the color.  I then placed High, a very light pink shimmery color, from the Smoky Palette on my inner tear duct.

I used two eyeliners for the wing, Laura Geller Eye Calligraphy Slanted & Classic Tip Liquid Liner both in black.  I use the Slanted tip to create the wing, it makes it super easy.  I then do the rest of line with the Classic tip.

After this I did my face makeup.  I put on Benefit’s Puff Off! to soothe my under eye area.  I like to mix my primer, Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in Light, with my MAC Studio Fluid Fix foundation before I put it on.  This makes my foundation last way longer!!  For my concealer, I use MAC Pro Longwear. I apply it on my under eye area and around my eyebrows.  This helped clean up my eyeshadow since it was looking a bit uneven.

I did a light contour with my NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny.  I used the blush in my Laura Geller Baked Color & Contour.  Lastly, for my highlighter, I used theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer.

On my waterline, I used Perversion by Urban Decay.  I set the eyeliner with Crave, a black matte shadow from my Urban Decay Naked Basics.  To add to the smoky affect, I put Whiskey on the outer half of my lower lash line.  I also put Smolder on the outer fourth of my lower lash line.  On the inner half of my lower lash line, I put Faint, a matte brown from Naked Basics, so it would be smoky but not too hardcore.

I then did my eyebrows with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown.  After curling my eyelashes, I applied two coats of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

To finish the look, I applied a bit of Peppermint ChapStick.  I lined my lips very lightly with my MAC Vino lip liner.  I blend it that so that it would be light.  For the lip color I used the AVON Tint ‘n Go in Berry Baie.

Here is a close up of my eyes:

I hope y’all like the look!

Do you prefer bold lip, bold eyes, or both?
