Ulta Haul + My First Impressions

Hello!!

I went to Ulta this past weekend for some things that I needed and, of course, to get somethings I didn’t need but really wanted!!  I got quite a few items and I am so happy with what I got and I thought I would share it with you all!! I have tried most of these already so I will also be sharing my first impression of the products.

Ulta Haul

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – Light: I have been using this primer for quite sometime now, it is my favorite and give a somewhat of a matte finish.  I get the travel size because it cost less, obviously, but it also last me a good while.

Batiste Dry Shampoo for Dark & Deep Brown Hair: I always here people rave about Batiste dry shampoo and when I saw they made them one specific for dark brown hair I knew I had to have it!  It smell nice and clean.  I was a bit concerned that I would get my hands stained since it is tinted but it doesn’t happen.  I already love this product because I don’t have to worry about my hair looking ashy after I put it on.

Essie Nail Polish in Apres-Chic: My sister picked this nail polish and I bought it for her so she would also take something home with her. It is a pretty silver color and I think it is perfect for Christmas and for New Year’s Eve.  The color is very opaque and has tiny chunks of glitter.

Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eyeliner in Legend:  I love to put black eyeliner on my waterline when I have a more dramatic eyeshadow but the eyeliner always comes off.  I was very excited when I heard that Urban Decay was coming out with a pencil specifically for the waterline.  I have already used it once and it came off like any other eyeliner but I will try it again and use different techniques because I really want this pencil to work!!

TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer: My favorite Youtuber, Kalyn Nicholson, loves this highlighter so I have always wanted to try but I never knew where to but it.  This highlighter is actually from Kohl’s and not from Ulta but I bought that same weekend so I decided to include it here.  It is such a pretty highlighter and I have been using it lately instead of my usual highlighter. I love it and the packaging is super adorable!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara:  Ever since I got the sample of this mascara it has been my favorite and I was finally able to get the full size product! I love this mascara because it makes my eyelashes look extra long and full of volume! This mascara is hands down my favorite!

Too Faced Le Petit Trésor: This is the product I did not mean to get but just had to get.  The Too Faced Holiday gift sets are super cute and this one was the cheapest so I got it.  I was honestly drawn to the cute, baby blue, glittery bag.  It also has the most adorable cute, little, Eiffel Tower Charm on it.  What made me justify my purchase was that it came with three full size lipsticks all for only $29, which I think is a very good price.  I love the lipsticks so much and I used it in my Soft Pink Makeup Look post which you can find here!  In order, from left to right, the colors are Nude Beach, WHAM, and Taffy.  This purchase was definitely the one I was most excited about!

  3. I desperately need to get some Batiste brunettes, I tend to use the normal one but I think I’d be better with the one suited to my hair colour 🙂 ~ S x
