This morning is a raining Sunday morning and, for me, that is a super awesome way to start out Sunday. I love raining days, especially when I don’t have to do anything all day. This week was my first week that I am no longer a student, I work on campus so going to school after graduation was super weird!!
Keep reading to see how my first week out of school went. Enjoy!!! Continue reading
It’s Birchbox time again!! I really do enjoy sharing what I received every month in my Birchbox. I also enjoy receiving the box every month, not knowing what I am going to get, I like surprises!!
The May Birchbox design is super cute, it’s colorful and I love the touch of gold!! If you want to know what I got this month, keep reading!! Continue reading
Do any of you remember that story with the tortoise and the fox? They race and the fox is sure he is going to win so he takes a rest and doesn’t take the race seriously. On the other hand, the tortoise takes the race seriously and even though he is slower than the fox he ultimately wins the race. Weightloss is similar to this story, you want to be the tortoise and not the fox.
Slow and steady is something that I have recently found is working for me instead of trying to get a fast way or some shortcut. Keep reading to find out more!! Continue reading
I’m writing this week’s Sit Back Sunday late since I was hanging out with family earlier. This week was surreal to me, it was my last week as an undergraduate!!! I took my very last final, which I made an A on (YAY!!) and then on Friday I walked across the stage.
Keep reading to hear more about my last week as an undergrad and all the festivities!!! Continue reading
If you have read my blog in the past, you will probably know that I have been trying to lose weight for a while now. Unfortunately, I have not been successful. For that reason, I started going to a dietitian at my university, thankfully it is pretty cheap at my school!! This past Monday was my last meeting with her so I wanted to start blogging my weightless journey in order to have accountability. It would also be awesome if my journey could help someone pursue their journey as well.
So first my first post, I’ll give you some intro on where I am currently at and where I want to go. I will be posting about my journey every Monday. Enjoy!! Continue reading
April flew by super quick and I’m super glad it is May because I get to get to graduate this month!! Before I took time off from blogging, sharing my monthly favorites was one of my favorite posts, which is why I’m super happy to share my favorites for April.

This week, I would say, was a perfect example of a college student in her last semester. I had a few assignments due that I honestly did not want finish and my only motivation to finish those assignments was that if I don’t do them, then I don’t get to graduate!!
Keep reading to read my ups and downs of this week. Enjoy!! Continue reading
I love receiving my Birchbox in the mail every month because I love not knowing what I’ll be getting and it feels like a gift each month!!
April’s Birchbox theme is one I really like because it talks about the beauty that comes within. From the outside the box is plain but the cursive “Magic Inside” makes it look very cute. In the inside, the box has a bunch of designs on a light pink background. I definitely think they nailed it this month on the box!!
So let’s get into what I got this month. If you want to know, keep reading!! Continue reading
Long time, no blogging!!!
It has been a long time since I have posted anything on Makeup & Flowers!! There are a couple of reasons why I have decided to come back but one major reason is that I’m about to graduate with my Bachelors Degree and as that time gets closer, I feel the pressure of finding a job and in the process I can start to feeling lonely, if that makes sense. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that doesn’t have a job lined up after graduation but at times it feels like that. Blogging helps me feel a sense of belonging and also a sense of purpose since I’m doing something creative that I really like.
I decided to come up with a schedule in order to help me keep blogging longer than once or twice so here it is!! Continue reading
I absolutely love this holiday, I love cooking, spending time with family, and of course, eating!!! Every year my mom helps me make the turkey while we watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Currently our turkey is in the oven so I wanted to share with you all my nails for this holiday. At first I wanted to go for more traditional colors but I think the deep blue looks great with the gold accent nail, I think it adds a chic twist!! Continue reading
